First launched in 2012, the EZONE 98 has had three different versions: the Xi, the Ai and the DR. The 2017 version of the EZONE 98 is the successor to the EZONE DR 98 which was a unique and modern racquet that was reminiscent of the Babolat Pure Drive but with better ball feel at impact.
On the plus side, the majority of the team was able to play efficiently thanks to the EZONE 98 (305g). While a bit of a control issue, this racquet offers more power and spin than the previous version, making it more dangerous on powerful shots. Top marks for this racquet were awarded to services where the racquet sliced through the air with power on contact to allow them to hit their targets.
On the other hand, the EZONE 98 (305 g) will not suit everyone. Some players will enjoy the more dampened feel of the DR while others will prefer the more powerful and solid response offered by this new version.
