Express yourself
Over the years, Volt and Hyperpink have been used on many of the most iconic boots in the Mercurial line. The Volt MXXV graphic, Hyper Pink Swoosh logo and Hyper Pink studs underneath offer unique expressions for this special design. A chrome effect highlights the Metallic Silver base, underscoring the importance of the 25-year milestone.
Respecting the past
The Mercurial has been the catalyst for some of the most memorable moments the game has produced. Using the historic Mercurial logos, we created a repeating graphic that evokes different eras dating back to 1998. The medial MXXV graphic (big toe side) celebrates the gravity of that historic moment and connects to the boot's previous anniversary.
Elastic underfoot feel
The Zoom Air unit in the forefoot is located in the outsole and provides an extra level of springy underfoot feel that helps you move through the field faster. This creates separation when it matters most, whether you're scoring goals, being the premier to catch the ball or tracking defenders.
Dig In, Take Off
Tri-Star cleats provide multi-directional traction with every step, allowing you to change direction quickly and confidently. Heel lugs provide traction and stability when braking. Staggered center lugs give you traction during explosive starts.
Improved fit
A redesign improves the fit, so it better simulates the foot. We achieved this by running multiple wear tests on hundreds of athletes. The result is a more contoured toe area and a better heel fit.
Feel the ball
The upper is made of Vaporposite+, which combines a grippy mesh with a premium sockliner for optimal ball control at high speeds. The sockliner provides a tactile feel throughout the upper. It is soft yet stable and wraps tightly around your foot. The flexibility provides a more natural ball feel for shooting, dribbling or passing.
More Benefits
The speed cage inside the structure is made from a thin but strong material that secures the foot to the outsole without adding weight.
Swoosh logo locations recall the original positions found on early models.
