Our selection of Sporting Portugal features the home shirt of the Lisbon club, with horizontal green and white stripes, in adult and child sizes, to support the Lions of the Estádio José Alvalade, a club founded in 1906 and known for its youth academy, which produced Cristiano Ronaldo and Luís Figo.
The green and white of the Lions of Lisbon.
The Sporting Clube de Portugal was founded in Lisbon on 1st July 1906, under the impulse of José Alvalade, whose name now adorns the stadium. Nicknamed Leões, the Lions, in reference to the lion on its emblem, the club is multi-sport, but it is football that has built its reputation. Its main European trophy remains the Cup Winners' Cup, won in 1964. On the national scene, it ended a nineteen-year wait by becoming champion again in 2021, then reclaimed the title in 2024 and 2025, notably driven by the goals of Viktor Gyökeres.

The Sporting training centre, the Academia in Alcochete, south of the Tagus, is one of the most renowned in Europe. It has produced two Balloons d'Or: Luís Figo, awarded in 2000, and Cristiano Ronaldo, winner for the first time in 2008, who played his first professional matches wearing the green and white shirt before leaving for England in 2003. Nani, Ricardo Quaresma, João Moutinho, and more recently Rafael Leão have also come through the club's youth teams, making Sporting one of the big breeding grounds for the Portuguese national team.
The home shirt of Sporting is instantly recognisable with its wide horizontal stripes of green and white. They first appeared on the rugby team's kit in 1926 before being adopted by the entire club in 1928. The original shirt, split into green and white halves, is known as the Stromp, in honour of Francisco Stromp, founder and figure of the club, and it reappears regularly as a special kit. The children's version of the home shirt helps pass the passion of the Lions to younger fans.

The nickname Leões comes from the standing lion that adorns the club's green and white emblem since its early years. Supporters have embraced this symbol of strength, to the point where they simply refer to Sporting as the Lions.
Sporting plays at the Estádio José Alvalade, inaugurated in 2003 in Lisbon and selected as one of the stadiums for Euro 2004. It bears the name of the club's founder and accommodates around fifty thousand spectators.
Its major continental title remains the Cup Winners' Cup won in 1964, after a replayed final in Antwerp. The club also reached the UEFA Cup final in 2005, played at its own stadium in Lisbon.
We rely on the child's size rather than their age, comparing it to the brand's size chart. To ensure the shirt lasts more than a season, you can choose one size up: the fit remains comfortable and the sleeves will be a bit long.
Wash it inside out at thirty degrees, without fabric softener or tumble drying, to protect the emblem, sponsors, and any printing. Flat drying in the shade prevents the technical fabric from distorting.
