A pioneer in Major League Soccer
The Galaxy is one of the ten clubs that played in the first season of Major League Soccer in 1996 and immediately drew crowds to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. In 2003, it settled in Carson, south of Los Angeles, in a stadium designed for soccer. It lifted the MLS Cup as early as 2002 and again in December 2024, at home, against the New York Red Bulls. By 2000, it had already won the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Its colours, navy blue, gold and white, reflect the image of a city of stars.

Beckham, Donovan, Ibrahimović: the era of stars
In 2007, David Beckham left Real Madrid for the Galaxy; the league introduced the designated player rule, allowing for a salary outside of the salary cap. Partnered with Landon Donovan, the all-time top scorer for the US national team alongside Clint Dempsey, the Englishman won the MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012. In March 2018, Zlatan Ibrahimović joined and scored in his first match against local rivals LAFC, with a long volley that went viral. Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard have also worn this jersey.
Authentic jersey or supporter, and Anthem jacket
The authentic jersey features a snug fit and lightweight materials used on the field, with a heat-pressed badge; the supporter version, which is more loose-fitting, usually comes with an embroidered badge and can better withstand repeated washes. The Galaxy's home kit remains dominated by white, while the third explores another colour palette. The reversible Anthem jacket, inspired by those worn by players during anthems, flips to change its look. Jerseys should be washed inside out, in cold water or at thirty degrees, without a tumble dryer to preserve the prints.
