Our other clubs page of the Liga brings together the jerseys of Spanish teams that don't have their own page, including the home jersey of Levante UD, the oldest active football club in Valencia, with its blue and maroon stripes. Here you will find the history of the Granotes, an insight into the regional diversity of the league, and our tips for choosing your jersey.
All the passion of Spanish football.
Founded in 1929 with ten clubs, the Liga brings together twenty teams that reflect the diversity of Spanish regions. In the Basque Country, Athletic Bilbao only fields players born or trained in the region, a unique tradition in professional football, and Real Sociedad represents the colours of San Sebastián. Villarreal, nicknamed the Yellow Submarine, proudly represents a city of just fifty thousand inhabitants, while Celta Vigo stands for Galicia and UD Las Palmas carries the colours of the Canaries. Each cultivates a strong identity and passionate support that adds flavour to the championship.

Founded on 6 September 1909, Levante UD is the oldest football club in Valencia still in operation; its current form came into being in 1939 through the merger of Levante FC and Gimnástico FC. The club is nicknamed the Granotes, or frogs in Valencian, in memory of the marshes from the old bed of the Turia that bordered its first pitch. Since 1969, the team has played at the Ciutat de València stadium, in the Orriols neighbourhood, and its vertical blue and maroon stripes have also earned it the nickname Azulgranas. Its women's team has been crowned champions of Spain several times.
The supporter shirt, with a straight and comfortable cut, is worn at the stadium and in daily life. You choose it in your usual size for a neat silhouette, or one size up for a looser, more relaxed fit. Its lightweight, breathable technical fabric dries quickly and holds up well to repeated washing. The shirts of less media-focused clubs also appeal to collectors and lovers of Spanish football, who appreciate their unique colours, their crests rich in history, and the pleasure of wearing a club rarely seen in French stands. Given to a Liga enthusiast, a Levante shirt comes out of the usual paths.

Twenty clubs compete in home and away matches, making thirty-eight matchdays. At the end of the championship, the bottom three are relegated to the second division and are replaced by three promoted clubs, renewing part of the league.
The home shirt features the historical colours of the club, such as Levante's blue and maroon stripes. The away shirt, worn when the colours of the two teams clash, can change more freely in colour and pattern from year to year.
It is the national cup of Spain, contested since 1903 and open to both professional and amateur clubs. It gives lower-tier teams the chance to face the big names of the country, and its winner qualifies for a European competition.
Base your decision on the child's height rather than age, as children's sizes correspond to height in centimetres. If the child is between two sizes, go for the larger one: the shirt will last another year.
Turn it inside out, wash it at thirty degrees on a delicate cycle without fabric softener, and then lay it flat to dry, away from the tumble dryer. Heat can lift the flocking and heat-pressed badges, while washing it inside out limits abrasion.
