The speed boot with a sock collar.
The Mercurial was born in 1998, championed by Brazilian Ronaldo, with a simple idea: a light and slim shoe designed for speed. It became the shoe of fast attackers, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Kylian Mbappé, who now has his own editions. The Superfly is the high-top version of the Mercurial: its knitted collar, shaped like a sock, wraps around the ankle and integrates with the foot, while the Mercurial Vapor remains low-cut.

The Superfly comes in several levels. The Elite, made for professionals, offers the thinnest upper, an ultra-light carbon sole, and an Air Zoom cushioning unit integrated into the sole for a more responsive feel. The Pro includes some of these technologies. The Academy, the best-seller, versatile and durable, is suitable for club players, while the Club, entry-level, is meant for beginners. The Kylian Mbappé editions feature these levels in the striker's colours.
The sole is chosen based on the surface: FG for natural grass, AG for advanced synthetic, MG for both, TF for turf. Children’s models are available in FG, AG, MG, and TF. The Superfly has a narrow fit, typical of speed shoes: wider feet may prefer a half-size up or a different range. The sock collar slips on by pulling on the back tabs. Clean the shoe after the match and let it air dry.

The Superfly is the high-top version of the Mercurial, with a sock-like collar that wraps around the ankle. The Vapor, being low-cut, leaves the ankle free, with the same speed philosophy.
The Elite, the lightest and most technical, is aimed at demanding players. The Academy offers a good compromise for a regular club player, and the Club suits beginners and children.
The Brazilian Ronaldo, in 1998. The lineage has since outfitted fast attackers, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Kylian Mbappé, who now has his own editions.
Its fit is rather narrow and snug, and a wide foot may feel tight in it, especially at the front. Try a half-size up or a softer upper version like the Academy.
After the match, tap the soles to shake off the dirt, wipe the upper with a damp cloth, and let it air dry, stuffed with newspaper. Never use a radiator or a machine, as they damage the upper and adhesives.
