Leather throatlash tanned to prevent the saddle from sliding back, equipped with stainless steel hooks that attach directly to the saddle.
The item features a fork that stops the horse's head from moving upwards, acting directly on the bit via reins passing through the ring at the end of the fork.
The reins should be used with stops; otherwise, the martingale can slide forward and catch on the bit ring, blocking the horse's head and risking a fall.
Each strap or buckle is adjustable so that the throatlash can be perfectly suited to any type of horse.
It is decorated with brass clinchers.
