When you tackle a great climb on a rock face, the adrenaline keeps you warm, even when temperatures are low. But it's always best to cover up, especially when you’re resting. This rule applies not only to climbing but to all activities done in the mountains during our leisure time. The Coppolo Merino Full Zip Hoodie, made from a blend of wool, features merino wool fibres woven with synthetic elastane and nylon fibres, and is designed to provide softness and comfort in all situations: from the alpine shelter to the city centre. Moreover, thanks to its unique shape, the merino wool yarn ensures odor-resistant properties even after intense use. This hoodie makes us proud of our choices. The wool used is certified mulesing free, a responsible and ethical choice that reflects our philosophy. Mulesing is a surgical practice where strips of flesh and skin are removed from the perianal area of merino sheep to protect them from infections caused by fly attacks that lay their eggs there. This practice is done without anaesthesia or antibiotic treatment and doesn't always protect the animal against infections. It is so invasive that it can lead to the death of the sheep. Disagreeing with this practice, we opted for yarn that is indeed more expensive but respectful of animal welfare.
