Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise. The customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer carries the approval code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without any luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the changed angle of the gas due to the conversion to racing version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in a loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired. The customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
