Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle after converting to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
