Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; the use of the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and registration plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right of repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
