The Makra Pro Lady GTX is ideal for demanding alpine hikes with glacier crossings, as well as for summer treks in high mountains and easier rocky routes. This lightweight and sturdy all-terrain shoe features a lightweight, waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and a durable Perwanger leather upper. For the lightweight yet particularly stable midsole, we use a combination of PU, TPU and EVA. PU at the heel for perfect cushioning – an integrated TPU runner for secure attachment – and EVA at the forefoot for more precision. The Vibram® Makra outsole ensures excellent grip. Together, they form a dream team. The ‘Hanwag 2 Zone Lock’ with a mechanical lace lock improves fit at the heel. Unlike traditional lace hooks, the mechanical lock stays in place and cannot slip unless adjusted manually. The optimized ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family – it passes through textile loops all the way to the toe area. This ensures a secure fit around the forefoot and overall good stability for a mid-cut model. And the improved alpine width provides more space at the front of the foot for added comfort, without sacrificing precision and climbing performance.
