Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install these products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend operations, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advised to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on a track only, without bags, without flashlight, without number plate holder or any other parts that might conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair being returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust, or wait the standard time for the repair.
