Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and ask immediately for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of throttle due to the transformation to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
