Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws, or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the proper approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be denied. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with reversion to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
