Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tampering screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific type approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller from YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
