Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. The open version is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without saddlebags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
