Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines. This is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions. Each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without panniers, without flashing lights, and without number plate holder or other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in exchange for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
