The most high-performing frame in the MEYBO range, the HSX AL, is a competition piece. This frame is the perfect choice for those looking for something very high-performing without necessarily opting for a carbon frame. With increased stiffness and cutting-edge technology, this new HSX aluminium frame is the fastest in the aluminium frame range from Meybo. Light, responsive, stable and stiff, it offers all the advantages sought in one single product.

Its geometry has been specifically designed for championship and world cup tracks, providing a perfect balance between maneuverability and stability at very high speeds.

For the 2025 model, the Meybo HSX AL retains the same features as the 2024 model. Regarding braking, this frame is only compatible with the "Flat-mount" caliper. This means that the brake caliper is directly fixed to the rear dropout of the frame. For an optimal finish, two fixing screws go through the rear dropout of the frame to hold the brake caliper in place. This setup only works with 120 mm discs; the frame is not compatible with 140 mm discs. The frame comes with 1, 2, and 4 mm spacers to align your disc if you're not using a specific HSX hub.

Depending on the sizes, the bottom bracket standard changes. For the Expert, Expert XL, and Pro 21 sizes, it’s the BB86 standard (Ø41mm). For larger sizes, there is a Pressfit BB386 (Ø46mm). This ensures better stiffness and limits torsion while pedalling.

To maintain a constant rear chainstay length regardless of the gearing used, this frame is supplied with a 15 mm thru-axle. This significantly increases the rigidity of the rear part of the frame. This configuration requires a rear hub with a 15 mm axle. The axle itself is made from 7005 aluminium, fully CNC machined.

To maintain constant chain tension, Meybo has designed a chain tensioner that ensures optimal transmission no matter the chosen gearing. To optimise the chain tension adjustment with this tensioner, it is advisable to use a chain with half-links for more precise adjustment.

In summary, the HSX retains the same tubes as the 2024 model. It is made from very high-quality aluminium (6061-T6) with various thicknesses of hydroformed tubes to optimise weight without compromising strength. A new rear dropout is designed to accommodate a fixed thru-axle and a Flatmount disc brake.

Designed and intended for competition, whether at high speed on a world cup track or in first position on an indoor circuit, the HSX is a formidable racing weapon.
