Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, and number plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights, returned to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
