These regular-fit wide-leg pants feature a simplistic four-pocket design. The crotch and exterior are finished with double-needle folded seams, offering a clean, workwear-oriented construction. These Wendy pants are made from an exquisite herringbone twill fabric. Its tight weave gives it a slightly crisp texture, a dry feel and a smooth appearance. The fabric's pattern pays homage to vintage herringbone twills and, to ensure its longevity and ageability, we piece-dyed it in a perfect shade of French blue. The pants were gently washed, subtly accentuating the fabric's characteristics and the garment's construction.

Whereas regular twill, as seen in denim, has a distinct diagonal pattern, herringbone twill has broken diagonal lines, creating a noticeable zigzag pattern (more prominent than in broken twill). The zigzag pattern, which resembles the bony structure of a herring, is compact but distinctive. Herringbone twill is frequently found in vintage work jackets, especially those fromorigine French and German, often in blue or gray hues. It is also well known for its use in vintage military fatigues, commonly referred to by the acronym HBT. The choice of herringbone twill in workwear and military garments can, as far as we know, be attributed to two main reasons. Firstly, changing the direction of the twill improves tear resistance. Secondly, at a time when sanforization and bias processes had not yet been developed, herringbone twill showed a reduced tendency to bias compared with plain twill.
