ESS Safety glasses TurboFan

A long-time favourite of American special forces groups, the ESS Profile TurboFan is better and more robust than ever. Following a series of improvements, the Profile TurboFan represents one of the most effective tools compatible with night vision for fogging up on the lenses.

Running on a single AA battery, the TurboFan system draws in a flow of fresh air from the bottom of the frame and expels humid air from the top at around 13,000 RPM. Even in cases of sweating or extreme temperatures, this two-speed system will vent moisture and dramatically reduce fogging on the lenses for over 150 hours of continuous operation (low speed).

This enhanced anti-fogging system features the robust PowerPod battery pack, now equipped with a push-button switch and repositioned near the back of the head for seamless operation. The new technology provides constant fan speeds as battery power decreases, and an "Auto-off" timer shuts off the fan system to preserve battery life if it is accidentally left on. The water-resistant housing makes it easy to operate in all weather conditions.

The extra-thick 2.8 mm polycarbonate lenses offer maximum impact protection and 100% UVA/UVB filtration. The advanced ClearZone FlowCoat lens treatments from ESS provide the optimal combination of scratch-resistant coatings on the outside of the lenses and anti-fog coatings on the inside.

The Profile TurboFan complies with U.S. Federal OSHA standards and meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1-2010, the ballistic impact test MIL-DTL-43511D (Clause 3.5.10) from the U.S. Army for .22 caliber ammunition, and CE EN 166.

All lenses in the Profile series offer 100% UVA/UVB protection and distortion-free optical clarity.
