The Arosa model from BIRKENSTOCK combines the stability of a closed-toe shoe with the lightness of a sandal. Its closed toe box at the sides, but open at the heel and front, leaves feet well ventilated. The soft footbed is complemented by a foam insole, for all-day comfort. For that extra touch of refinement, it comes with color-matched buckles. The upper is made of particularly soft suede leather that drapes over the foot like a second skin.

• Special feature: The soft footbed. The soft footbed has an integrated latex foam cushion. A pleasant feeling of comfort is therefore guaranteed from day premier.


• Upper material: Suede leather. Suede leather is a suede with a rough, sanded surface. Suede leather has a soft, velvety surface that feels pleasant against the skin. It is also highly moisture-absorbent. Suede leather is naturally soft and flexible. Its stability is not the same as that of smooth leather, and differs according to the skin chosen. These are not material or production defects.


• Insole: Insole. The hypoallergenic, flexible leather insole gently hugs the foot and adapts to its contours. The open-pore surface is particularly thermoactive, keeping feet at a pleasant temperature even during intense physical activity.


• Footbed material: Cork. Cork is a renewable raw material extracted from the bark of the cork oak tree. This natural product is a thermal insulator with excellent cushioning properties.


• Outsole: EVA. EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality plastic that is particularly light and elastic, with excellent cushioning properties. Small irregularities in the ground are therefore compensated for, and every step is cushioned as you walk.
