Description
In 1981 with the Jazz model, the Saucony brand's signature triangular lugged shoe last and outsoles were introduced. When we created the Jazz, we worked closely with podiatrists to make sure our shoe would provide the comfort runners needed and support long distances. The triangular lugged sole provided good traction, offering a suspension system similar to the way a piston works, which is still the inspiration for Saucony's outsoles today.
