Bourne is a model born in 2018 from the fusion between the Cañon (diamond shape created in 1995) and the Avant (teardrop shape created in 2009).
As a result, we have created a teardrop shaped racquet, designed for players who seek control in their game without losing power.
This professional level racquet has the PRISMA frame, with which we manage to reduce the point frame contact against walls and surfaces by 90%, as well as air resistance by 10%.
All this means better maneuverability of the racquet and greater acceleration capacity on shots.
On the other hand, we've reinforced its most fragile point (the head) with an adhesive bumper that fits its shape perfectly, the Prisma bumper.
This not only covers the frame, but also its connection to the plane of the racquet.
When it comes to applying spin to shots, it has a rough texture in the plane called Slice , which was designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the ball stick more.
In addition, to eliminate the influence of temperature on the materials of the racket, this model has been manufactured with two types of rubber: a softer one, called "W", recommended for use at low temperatures or up to 25ºC / 77ºFF; and a harder one, called "S", recommended for use at temperatures above 25ºC / 77ºF.
For this reason, we recommend carrying both racquets in the bag so that the player can use one model or the other, depending on the ambient temperature.
As the name suggests, the Bourne Summum Prisma incorporates Summum technology in its construction, which is based on the sum of several factors:
- A longer-than-usual grip to provide the player with a more comfortable and professional grip, and also to make it easier for those who use both hands on backhand shots.
- A 1 cm longer hitting surface.
- A progressive hole pattern with more holes (76 in total) to improve and expand the sweet spot of the racquet.
- And Wings Diffuser technology at the core, with an aerodynamically improved diffuser that offers more maneuverability and accuracy.
And finally, it is worth highlighting the Handlesafety technology, a new safety system for the handle.
Normally, in all snowshoes, the string comes out of a centered hole that is attached to the handle frame with a pin, rivets, nails, etc.
However, with this system, the string goes through both sides of the shaft and comes out of both sides of the tip, giving 100% safety and comfort to the grip.
