When we set out to design the Trench GTX jacket, our goal was to create a trendy city jacket with all the features and protection usually reserved for high-end touring jackets. It would be designed for the long-distance city rider who rides 365 days a year in every conceivable weather. Mission accomplished.
The laminated GORE-TEX® shell is highly breathable and, as it should be, waterproof. Since it's a laminated shell, it has virtually zero wicking power, so the jacket stays dry and light on all occasions. This is a determining factor in fighting hypothermia in extreme cold. Once the thermal lining is removed, the jacket shows unparalleled breathability which allows it to be worn in milder conditions. So this jacket covers almost all four seasons - except for extreme heat.
Our patented VCS|aquadefence ventilation system, conveniently placed at chest level but carefully integrated into the design, provides unprecedented on-demand airflow. Warm, moist air that might be trapped inside the jacket is expelled through vents in the back. When it comes to protection, the Trench GTX jacket has it all. SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 armor on the shoulders and elbows, plus a pocket that can accommodate the SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector.
