The EX89 is inspired by the 1989 GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe, with modern ultra cushioning. Created by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s, elle is his first design with ASICS. The new FF BLAST foam enhances cushioning. The heel shape hugs the foot for maximum everyday comfort. The pattern on the outsole represents a city from the sky. Inspired by its designer's premier business trip to the USA in 1987, it offers optimum grip.
