Navigate with Garmin GPS data on the mobile device of your choice. The GLO 2 receiver takes advantage of two technologies by combining GPS/GLONASS receivers and Bluetooth® wireless technology. This means you can enjoy accurate location information on your iPad®, iPhone® or Android™ device.
GPS and GLONASS network accuracy
The GLO 2 receiver can receive position information from the GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations. This gives it an additional 24 satellites compared to devices that rely solely on GPS. This allows the GLO 2 receiver to acquire satellite signals 20% faster and maintain the connection even at high speeds. In addition, the GLO 2 receiver updates its position information 10 times per second, up to 10 times more frequently than the GPS receivers built into many mobile devices.
Setup and startup
The GLO 2 receiver pairs with your mobile device via Bluetooth wireless technology. Simply place your GLO2 within range of your mobile device and moments later you'll receive position data from the GLO 2 receiver. Its battery lasts up to 13 hours, allowing you to track your position over long distances. To recharge your GLO 2 between uses, simply use the included USB cable or an optional 12/24V cigarette lighter cable. The optional non-slip mount secures the receiver to your dashboard and gives it a clear view of the satellites.
